Phase 1- Business & Strategy Planning

What do you want from your business? Answering questions like this will help you develop a strategic vision and mission for your business, which will form the basis of a comprehensive Business Plan. In Phase 1 of our Business Development Program, we guide you through the planning process and develop a written Business Plan, which will serve as a road map for your business.

  • We hold a Planning Session to identify your personal and business goals, and then determine the actions required to reach those goals. We take you through a number of visioning exercises based on your responses to an extensive Business Development Questionnaire (completed prior to the session). Then, we perform a S.W.O.T. (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, & Threats) Analysis of your business, and create a detailed Business Development Action Plan.

  • We work with you to develop a comprehensive Business Plan that will become your road map to business success. The Plan includes an Organizational Chart, which clearly breaks down all of the roles that must be filled in your business (even if you're currently filling them all.)

  • We develop a complete Financial Plan for the business, which includes cash flow projections for the next one, three, and five years, a budget that will keep the company ahead throughout the year, and an asset management plan that will allow you to track depreciation of equipment and other assets. You'll be able to schedule purchases, leases, and new team member recruitment accordingly.

  • We work with you to develop a set of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for your business. KPIs allow you to measure your successes, and the effectiveness of each process within the business. Because WHAT YOU CAN MEASURE, YOU CAN MANAGE!

Phase 2 - Process Documentation & Systemization

In order to improve the profitability of your business and create more free time for you as the owner, your business needs to be able to run without you. In Phase 2 of the Program, we work with you and your team to document and systematize ALL of the processes involved in your business, and then produce a comprehensive Procedures Manual. We also equip you with the tools to track the effectiveness of each process.

  • We conduct a Business Evaluation of your company to identify potential bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the systems. Then, we work with you to fill in the gaps and/or streamline processes for increased efficiency.

  • We work with you and your team to identify ALL the key processes that are necessary to get business done in your company. We then systematically document each process and create a comprehensive Procedures Manual for your business.

  • We identify the non-financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that can be used to measure the effective of the processes in the business. Implement KPI tracking system so that indicators are being monitored and reported on regularly.

Phase 3 - Marketing

You need to develop your product or service specifically to meet the needs of your target audience. In Phase 3 of the Business Development Program, we work with you to identify your target market, and systematically determine the specific needs of that group. Then, we put this knowledge into action by creating a written Marketing Plan and a unique Customer Service Plan to build customer loyalty. We also use a series of wonderful customer service training tools here.

  • We facilitate a Client Advisory Board meeting. We invite 8-10 of your best clients to a breakfast, lunch, or dinner (your choice) and ask them for input on the strengths and weaknesses of your business, as well as suggestions for new/improved product or service offerings. Both constructive criticism and positive feedback are encouraged, and the ideas generated allow you to mold your services to meet the needs of your clients. What service!

  • We consider suggestions made at the Client Advisory Board, along with sales goals, your company budget, and other factors to create a Marketing Plan for the company.

  • We implement an Advertising & Direct Mail Return-on-Investment (ROI) Tracking System to maximize the value you get from your marketing dollar.

  • We develop and implement a Customer Service Plan. We work with the team to develop a Team Commitment Statement, which becomes the core of your customer service strategy. We work with you to create a communication calendar, which allows you to schedule contact with your customers and prospects through promotions, newsletters, cards, emails, phone calls, and even visits. And, we use a unique video-based training series to turn your employees into a 100% customer-focused TEAM!

  • We train your sales team in goal setting and sales techniques such as up-selling, cross-selling, contact management, and even proposal writing.

Phase 4 - Human Resources

In Phase 4 of the Business Development Program, we design and implement a complete People Development System for your business. We work with your team to create the standards to which existing and future team members will be held. We put in place a career development plan that allows owner and employees to track individual growth. And, we develop a team member feedback system, as well as an all-important incentive plan.

  • We facilitate a Team Advisory Board in order to gather constructive feedback from your team members on issues like your organization's commitment to customers, team member relations within the company, incentive programs, and overall communications.

  • We develop a Team Member Feedback System to encourage open communication between all team members, owners, etc.

  • We develop Position Contracts for every function within the company's Organizational Structure. The Contracts are not financial in nature. Team members simply sign them in agreement to perform the tasks associated with a particular function.

  • We institute the People Development System, which is a unique and comprehensive program for recruiting, training, leading, and developing your team. The system includes unique tools for planning and tracking career development, and well as a procedure for tracking benefits eligibility, promotion schedules, etc.

  • We write an Employee Handbook that contains all of your company's general policies (e.g. rules and regulations, sexual harassment policy, benefits eligibility, holidays, etc.). Upon completing this document, we facilitate a meeting with your entire team to review the Handbook and its importance.

  • (OPTIONAL) We'll develop industry- specific training programs by working in conjunction with industry trade associations and other available resources.

Phase 5 - Monitoring

A successful business owner has his or her finger on the pulse of the company at all times. You need to use financial data, information about team member morale, customer satisfaction, and other items to manage your business proactively. When you do, you'll start making more informed decisions and you'll be able to take action to prevent a downturn before it occurs.

  • We step in to help you run your monthly management meetings, listening to team member feedback, tracking and interpreting key performance indicators, and providing advice and assistance for making improvements.

  • We perform bi-annual Client Advisory Boards to keep abreast of the changing needs of your marketplace.

  • We are available for unlimited ad-hoc advice via telephone.
